After receiving dreams of Bhaal, the Dark Urge hatched a plan to fulfil their pledge to their Lord. Fully intent on eventually betraying them, they recruited [[Enver Gortash]] and [[Ketheric Thorm]], and togehter with Gortash stole the Crown of Karsus in a heist at [[House of Hope]]<ref>Dialogue with Gortash</ref>, with the goal of using it on the [[Elder Brain]] located in the Illithid Colony below [[Moonrise Towers]]<ref>Gortash's Memoirs</ref>, creating an army of soulless Mind Flayers to exterminate all life — Including, as the last being alive, their own.<ref>Note written by the Dark Urge found in the Colony below Moonrise Towers.</ref>
