Prerequisites for the dialogue seems to be that the party knows Astarion is a vampire, that they learned the monster hunter was after a target, but not that it was astarion, and that they have not yet discussed the hunter with Astation. Bringing Astarion to meet [[Gandrel]] in the [[Sunlit Wetlands]] should be all this takes. He'll comment that he thought all Gur were vagrant cutthroats, and the player should have this option.
