Redundant references[edit source]

I deleted most of the added refs to the precise books, as they can be found on FRWiki. As for credence, the contributors of said Wiki generally do not hesitate copying passages from us without even tying to the precise article (but place links on D&D books if any themselves). They usually just give a overall link on BGWiki as a whole project. Don't see any reason for us to do otherwise, provided a general link is already inserted.

More so, the only article here referring to the precise book ISBNs is Timeline, where it is really necessary. Not here, IMHO.

The references on precise parts of an article look like redundant as well because of indeed having the overall link in External section. Most readers can navigate the needed chains of links themselves, I'm sure.

Finally, the division of the gith people into githyanki and githzerai bears no connection to the Astral Plane, because after the civil war the latters were driven to the chaotic plane of Limbo and since reside there. Not a single one of them appears in BG3, except the monk's head in the illithid colony (if info on division should be at all, it belongs there). I don't recall of having any notable characters of both people appear in previous BG games either. The only stance I can think of straightaway is a single (but prominent for plot) githzerai in "Planescape Torment" game. Arikel (talk) 07:24, 11 November 2025 (CET)Reply

Clearly labeling what we got where makes it easier for readers to know where to learn more and helps identify what is truly our original content (by what is not cited as originating elsewhere). Capranaut (talk) 14:32, 11 November 2025 (CET)Reply
