Talk:Broodmother's Revenge
I may have done something wrong. I got her to turn against the shadow druids with me but I didn't get this at the time.
Aqcuisition[edit section]
After the "Party" if siding with Grove. Kagha moves to near front gate alone and is easily knocked out and can loot the necklace
Balthazar[edit section]
Balthazar did not drop it killing him in 2 ways in the gauntlet of shar:
1. Killing him after clearing the other 2 umbral rift encounters (tactician) 2. Letting the 2nd umbral rift encounter kill him by opening the door (honor)
Given there being 2 instances of the loot not being present, we may need additional confirmation of Balthazar dropping the necklace, or specification of him dropping it elsewhere. AnriOfAstora (talk) 21:05, 2 April 2024 (CEST)
- It's not dropping from him for me, either. Not sure if it's just a wiki error or if maybe he dropped it in a previous patch, but I loaded a prior save after searching my inventory for this necklace and killed him again - multiple times - both in his original area and the final confrontation with him. No dice, just the helmet. Extremity (talk) 08:11, 11 April 2024 (CEST)
- I have killed him twice: as soon as meeting him and in Nightsong's Prison. Didn't see this drop in either cases. I'm deleting him from the page since we have multiple confirmations. AquaSZS (talk) 12:13, 12 May 2024 (CEST)
Notes: triggering venemous revenge[edit section]

Applied for how many turns?[edit section]
I see @Raelin added that the poison is applied for 2 turns.
However, I believe it lasts 3 turns. This is based on my in-game testing, and by looking at the game files (the MAG_WEAPON_COATED_WITH_POISON status).
Raelin, what did you see that made you conclude this lasts for 2 turns? Was your character healed by someone else in combat, and then by the time your character's turn started it displayed only 2 turns left for the poison? In my testing, I did not advance turns in between healing and checking how many turns of the poison remained. Quaris (talk) 03:11, 3 October 2026 (CEST)
- It is 3 turns as you say. My note was incorrectly based on Astarion starting combat with the Ring of Regeneration and having two turns remaining after finishing. But even there, before he started swinging, the timer says "3 turns remaining".
- Thank you for noticing this. Please feel free to correct it. Raelin (talk) 04:32, 3 October 2026 (CEST)
- The status that applies to the wearer is for 2 turns, and the status that applies to the weapon is 3 turns. So you both are correct :D Rydiak (talk) 04:59, 3 October 2026 (CEST)
- I'm assuming "Venemous Revenge (condition)" is what you're saying applies to the wearer for 2 turns? I see it in the game files and it has a wiki page, but I can't find where it displays in-game. Am I missing something, or is it a hidden technical status or something?
- I see there's consensus at least that Dipped in Poison is applied to weapons for 3 turns, so I'll make that edit. (Dipped in Poison isn't even mentioned anywhere on these pages currently...) Quaris (talk) 07:16, 3 October 2026 (CEST)
- Venomous Revenge status (MAG_WEAPON_COATED_WITH_POISON) is technically just used as an applier for the Venomous Revenge passive (MAG_Healer_HealSelfPoisonWeapon_Passive), and has combat log and portrait indicator displays disabled but not overhead. So when it triggers it briefly displays both "VENOMOUS REVENGE" and "DIPPED IN POISON" above the wearer's head at the same time. We could probably remove the Venomous Revenge status from the Venomous Revenge passive page entirely since it is largely irrelevant to the user (and probably should not have been visible in the first place). Rydiak (talk) 19:09, 3 October 2026 (CEST)
- In that case, I agree it should be removed from the main part of the article, and just being mentioned as a bug makes sense to me too.
- Thanks for the explanation and edit! Quaris (talk) 19:44, 3 October 2026 (CEST)
- Same here. Raelin (talk) 20:06, 3 October 2026 (CEST)
