Guessing 50/50 where the Mace and the Battleaxe go? edit
Not that it's terribly important, because the chance to get it right is 50% and the consequences of getting it wrong are non-existent, but do people actually see on the stained-glass picture who holds the Ceremonial Battleaxe and who holds the Mace? I can only see who holds the Hammer (and the Longsword, obviously, but that's already placed). The glass is broken were the weapon of Dawnmaster Vaseid would be shown, and Dawnmaster Stockhold doesn't hold a weapon, does he? So, apart from guessing these two weapon spots, is there any other way? Gewinnste (talk) 15:42, 18 May 2025 (CEST)
- In the book "The Parables of Dawnmaster Vaseid" it is mentioned that Dawnmaster Vaseid holds the Battleaxe. Hawkeye (talk) 18:20, 18 May 2025 (CEST)
- Also, you can dig up Dawnmaster Stockhold's grave and find out that he was buried with his favourite mace. The very one the kobolds stole later Arikel (talk) 06:13, 19 May 2025 (CEST)
- Ah, thanks :) Gewinnste (talk) 19:47, 27 July 2025 (CEST)
- I'm dubious on the theft. It seems unlikely there was only ever one of each ceremonial weapon in the history of the monastery. I think the mace that Stockhold was buried with rusted naturally, and the one the Kobolds have is a different Ceremonial Mace. Sparr (talk) 21:06, 16 October 2025 (CEST)
- Actually, this is only a suggestion, therefore the article says "might". But there are several pros to this: 1) All other ceremonial weapons remained bright and shiny despite laying for a hundred years open to corrosion, etc. 2) Stockhold's Grave is pictured as a regular Dirt Mound unlike most other graves in the game, which may point on its being dug up recently. 3) The Ceremonial Warhammer is found in the eagle's nest along with the corpse of another kobold - unlikely the monks stashed the weapon in the bird nest. 4) Later in Lower City you meet at least two kobold graverobbers, which may outline it as a racial habit quite well.
