DC based on dex not con[edit section]

Not sure if its a bug in my game but the dc is based on dex 50.98.3.70 04:11, 15 April 2025 (CEST)Reply

Yup, can confirm. This should probably be changed Agent Y (talk) 12:34, 29 September 2025 (CEST)Reply
Incorrect. DC is based on the caster's Constitution and the target makes a Dexterity saving throw.
not SavingThrow(Ability.Dexterity, CalculateSpellDC(Ability.Constitution, context.Source)) Rydiak (talk) 13:21, 29 September 2025 (CEST)Reply
Thanks for confirming! Just to clear it up for the others:
  • The caster's CON modifier is added to determine the Difficulty Class (the roll targets will need to reach on their Saving Throw).
  • The targets then make a DEX Saving Throw (which of course uses their DEX modifier).

Friendly Fire[edit section]

While this is a great way to trigger effects for a Rad/Orb build, unlike Spirit Guardians, this absolutely does hit your allies as well as enemies. Tav2025 (talk) 16:06, 26 May 2025 (CEST)Reply

Remove/Correct Bugs Section?[edit section]

The Bugs section indicates this uses the character's item spell save DC, which is at odds with the rest of the page and the previous discussion about the DC. Can that section either be removed or adjusted to correct that information? KineticStasis (talk) 06:23, 5 April 2026 (CEST)Reply

The bug section is accurate. The damage scales with SpellCastingAbilityModifier instead of WisdomModifier, and as such changes with the character's last-acquired spellcasting ability modifier. Rydiak (talk) 06:42, 5 April 2026 (CEST)Reply
Thank you to NtCarlson for clarifying the bug section to state that only the damage scales with SpellCastingAbilityModifier KineticStasis (talk) 17:22, 5 April 2026 (CEST)Reply
