"Equipment" is an uncountable mass noun in standard English and requires the singular verb form "adds" rather than the plural "add" (unless it is explicitly phrased as "The following pieces of equipment add")
It should read as:
The following equipment adds Fire damage to the wearer's attacks or deals Fire damage through other means.
