A Whispering Statue is a kind of environmental object in Baldur's Gate 3.

Involvement[edit section | visual editor]

Whispering Statues are only located in the Undercity Ruins and can be seen when climbing down the stairs from the ambush towards the Bhaal Temple. When a party member approaches a statue the first time, it recites a line from Alaundo'sAlaundo's Bhaalspawn prophecy.

  • "The Lord of Murder shall perish..."
  • "...but in his doom he shall spawn a score of mortal progeny"
  • "Chaos will be sewn from their passage..."
  • "So sayeth the wise Alaundo"

After the prophecy has been told those statues which are approached a second time recite the following line.

  • "But Alaundo did not see. He did not know. He did not revel in the glory of what is to come."

Audience of One[edit section | visual editor]

One of the whispering statues stands next to the murder scene, of which the corpse of Wilting AlexWilting Alex is a part. Unlike all other statues which have a regular brazier which can be lit, this one has a brazier called Audience of One, which triggers a special line.

  • "By now you've seen a lot of death, but this is mass murder staged as theatre for an audience of one: Bhaal."
