Milil is a human NPC encountered in the Epilogue. He is a dour bard who plays a Lute and supplements his music with a band of spiritual instruments.
Involvement
Milil was at one time the minor deity of song, before getting cast out of Faerûn's pantheon by Cyric. Withers pulled him from the Fugue Plane in order to "honour the worthy" with his songs.
The player character may pass a passive Religion check during conversation to recognize him, greatly improving his spirits. Alternatively, the player character can pretend to recognize him by passing a DC 18 Deception check.
He functions as a jukebox for the Epilogue celebration; talking to him allows you to change the song that is playing.
Attacks and abilities
Milil is immune to all damage. If attacked, he casts
until the player is nearly downed, then vanishes from the party entirely.Divine Performance
Milil plays 6 new variations of songs:
- "Ale of Balduran" - a version of the "Song of Balduran"
- "Bard Dance"
- "New Light" - a version of "Last Light"
- "Streets and Faces"
- "We Live Another Day" - a version of "I Want to Live"
- "Endless Spring" - a new song specific to the epilogue
Notes
- Milil bears a close physical resemblance to Baldur's Gate 3 composer Borislav Slavov.[1]
