During the night, the player wakes up to Shadowheart holding a knife to Lae'zel's neck. She says she'll tell the party Lae'zel was transforming, so she put her down. If nothing is done, Shadowheart slits Lae'zel's neck and smashes her parasite as it crawls out. The player can defend Lae'zel, causing Shadowheart to become hostile and have to be killed.
