Like how fire bolt becomes 2d10 at level 5, which I assume is character level and not the level of the class they got the cantrip from. :::::Yes indeed, cantrip scaling is the damage of the cantrip, for example a level 9 fighter / level 1 wizard has cantrips which do 3 dice of damage because his character level is 10 but following what's written on the wiki, he'd do 1 dice of damage.
