Traveller's Chest

From bg3.wiki
Traveller's Chest image

The Traveller's Chest is a chest located in the party's Campsite. All the different campsites have designated places for the Traveller's Chest and any item inside it persists between all camps. By right-clicking an item in the inventory it is possible to send it directly to the Traveller's Chest from anywhere by choosing "Send to Camp".

Notes

  • Some things can be used from within the Traveller's Chest. Doing this saves weight in the party member's inventories.
    • Camp Supplies can be used from the resting menu.
    • Gold can be used from the trading and bartering menu, and in dialog. (This feature was mentioned in patch notes, but is not functional on consoles as of Patch 7/Hotfix 29)
    • Certain quest-related items can be accessed on the spot.[1]
  • In Multiplayer each player character gets one uniquely colored chest determined by the order joined that the other players characters can not access. The host of the session always gets a yellow chest. The second player gets a green, the third a pink and the fourth a blue one.[Needs Verification]
  • A Traveller's Chest with the same icon as the one in camp that is usable as a regular container can be acquired from the Crèche Y'llek Infirmary by unlocking and freeing the trapped Gremishka from the Githyanki children tossing it around.
  • It is possible to unlock additional chests in a singleplayer playthrough by deleting the 'profile8.lsf' file in the save folder, likely due to a new profile UID being generated. This also occurs if cross-save is enabled and the player loads a cross-save on a new device for the first time.
