Involvement[edit | edit source]
Verillius Receptor cannot be encountered by the party throughout the game. She is a Fiend and working as a High Inquisitor in service of Zariel. She has official permission to audit Raphael's collection. Verillius' true form is so ghastly and mind-scarring that she takes on guises when she comes to visit. She is especially feared by the Archivist in the House of Hope. Thus the player character can decept the Archivist by introducing themselves as Verillius, saying they are acting as Zariel's High Inquisitor, so that the party can stay in the Archive without triggering an alarm.
