Spindleweb Sanctuary is a level 5 abjuration spell. This spell allows spellcasters to ward themselves or an ally against enemy attacks and then damage enemies when it ends. It cannot be learned by players and is only used by NPCs.

Description

Protect yourself from attackers in the Absolute's gaze. If you attack or harm another creature, the sanctuary shatters, dealing 3d8Damage TypesPsychic to nearby creatures.

Until the affected entity attacks or harms another creature, it cannot be targeted by enemy attacks. However, it can still take damage from spells that influence a larger area.

Notes

  • The normal Sanctuary Sanctuary rules apply to this spell as well.
  • There are two saving throws involved in the explosion that occurs when the sanctuary breaks. First is a DC 12  Intelligence saving throw to halve the damage. Then, there is a second Spell save DC  Strength saving throw to avoid being pushed back 4 m / 13 ft. This second saving throw occurs regardless if the first saving throw was successful.
