Missing note: A Letter For Home
In Jannath's mansion, when the artist isn't rescued in act 1, there are 2 nobles, Sir Gorran Penghyst and Lord Delwaer Jeth, at each other's throat. They will duel will duel oitside, and if Sir Gorran Penghyst dies, his corpse carries this letter. It reads:
Dear Daddy,
How fare everything back home? I hope elegantly and without truculence.
Look, Daddykins, I amn't going to bugger around the bush here. I need coin. Cash. Moneys. Squids as they say down at the docks.
I have eight potential patrons for my music chomping at the bit. Another month and they'll be growling and biting, and that is when I'll swear fealty and make my fortune! Meantime: squids please! Your darling boy must eat!

I did everything I could think of to get production back up to former levels, but it's no good - the Beldenshyn tin mine is just tapped out. My best advice is to find a patriar family with too much money and not enough sense and sell it to them. But show them last year's samples.

In Jannath's mansion, when the artist isn't rescued in act 1, there are 2 nobles, Impurto Nexim and Saer Dokksill, talking. If Impurto Nexim dies, his corpse has a note which reads:
To the Esteemed Lord Nexim,
Please allow me to offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences - to lose both of one's parents in such rapid succession is truly an agony for which there is no balm.
Fortunately, I believe my spirits and I are able to soothe your anxieties with regards to their missing will. When it comes to matters of inheritence, the dead always prove most eager to clarify their intent.
Come to my mansion at the seafront, and we will see what we can learn. Given the delicacy of this request, I will of course require payment in advance.

Found in Jannath's estate, it reads:
Darling Firelia
My word! Your father and I were so delighted to hear of your betrothal, and to a painter no less! Given your groom's unconventional background, we'd be happy to put forward any sum you require for the ceremony - after all, one's daughter is only wedded once! Unless you're a Gruthmere, of course - I'll have to tell you about that one another time.
As for your nuptuals, perhaps we could employ the High Hall? Or would you prefer something grander? We're very open to suggestions.

While I appreciate the offer of a generous donation to Fist coffers - I've got neither the authority nor spare boots on the ground to authorise a "Sword Coast wide" search of your friend, Mssr Fevras. I'll keep an eye out while I'm on the beat in the City, but until we get the full Steel Watch rollout promised by the benevolent Lord Gortash, we're simply stretched too thin. My dearest Lady Jannath,
I write to inform you of my progress on your portrait - and my struggles therein. You see, while my skill at capturing countenance is considered far superior to the other brushfolk of this good city, it is lacking in one particular aspect. My memory of your form is far inferior to the purest beauty I beheld when you first sat with me. How can I finish a masterpiece without confidence in my grasp of its subject?
I beg of you - sit with me again. Allow me to finish this portrait in the proper fashion - with its ravishing subject firmly grasped within my gaze.

While I appreciate candour in my direct reports, some of your remarks might be regarded as disrespect. I'm going to give you a chance to rethink your position. I'm sure if you think hard, you'll come around to my way of thinking.

Founded in the small gilded chest on the first floor of Water Queen's House
I witnessed as the Queen lashed the prow of a vessel called the Kinship with whips of waves and foam until she'd taken her prize: Two sailors, dragged to her salted bosom. Upon which she did retreat and left the Kinship to reach its destination in peace - so great was her mercy.
It did cross my humble mind that such a vessel, upon its return journey, might take a longer, unfamiliar route to avoid her wrath and might thus become vulnerable to other kinds of interference...

Found on the submersible which goes to the Iron Throne. It reads:
Reminder to Self - The steam mephits in the starboard pressure tank have bred again and now there are too many of the blasted things cooking away in there. need to blow the valve to release three of four of the vapey bastards, but I can't loosen the exhaust bolt without a Number Four Spanner, and mine went over the side when we hit that goddamn mermaid. Better see about getting another Number Four from up in the Wonders bloody soon, 'cause if that tank blows when we're submerged, it'll be bye-bye Redhammer.
Missing note: An Unexpected Talent
Found on the corpse of Olfaith Olumssdottir. it reads:
Field alert to the Murder Tribunal - this agent must report the activities of a new aspirant for Unholy Assassin, a candidate who, though unexpected, may prove to be an outstanding exemplar of Bhaalist murder. However, this aspirant, an adventurer newly arrived in the city, is an outsider to our ranks and may require some guidance. It's not clear, for example, that the candidate knows to bring their murder evidence to the Tombstone Shop for trial and confirmation by the Tribunal.

How weakly the city slumbers above, safe behind its walls. It forgets what lurks below. It must be reminded.
