Contrary to the information given, at least as of the current patch (Oct 18th 2023, Hotfix #9) the blooms will wither if the player takes an action that is considered "leaving the Underdark" even if held in another container - I used a pouch as I had one spare, perhaps there was one in Filro's camp. I used the fairy ring to go to the Hag's lair from the Torchbloom valley and this killed the blooms. I haven't had that experience. I didn't even know they were intended to wither until I read this page, I've had them in my camp storage well into act two and nothing has caused them to wither thus far.
