Sussur Bloom is a Miscellaneous Story Item that creates an antimagic field around its holder. The bloom will wilt and become permanently ruined if it leaves the Underdark.

This bright blue flower, picked from a budding sussur tree, exudes a honey-sweet aroma, which turns foul and eventually fades away if the bloom is exposed to sunlight.

- Sussur blooms nullify nearby magic.
Where to find
- 4x - on and around the large Sussur Tree in the Dread Hollow of the Underdark at X: -14 Y: -138.
- 2x - at the Garden just outside the door of the ground floor of the Arcane Tower.
Usage
- The antimagic field affects nearby characters as well as the character holding the item. It prevents the use of spells, but not of magical actions that are not spells, such as Channel Divinity.
- Sussur Blooms can be used to disable Animated Armours and Arcane Turrets. Doing so grants the inspiration to party members with the Sage background.
- has a special interaction the first time they are within the range of a Sussur Bloom. It is likely the first time they have been without their magic so the interaction is a special one. A companion notices that the player character feels uncomfortable and chats briefly with the player character. Companions react differently depending on their approval. can specifically call out to their ancestor, but nothing happens.
Notes
- Keeping it in the Traveller's Chest in camp prevents it from wilting even outside the Underdark. Picking it up outside the Underdark camp still causes it to wilt however. The field affects anyone walking near the chest.
- As the antimagic effect is applied via scripting, using cheats to spawn this item via its UUID results in a non-functional version of the item.
- As of Patch 7, Sussur Blooms can be "smuggled" into the Lower City in Act Three by selling them to either Derryth or Baelen Bonecloak in Act One. They are fully functional, and Derryth or Baelen emit a Sussur Anti-Magic Field whilst holding the blooms in their inventory. The blooms can be bought back or pickpocketed.
