- Normally, a
d20 is rolled each time you cast a leveled spell. If the result is 20, then a Wild Magic Surge is triggered (i.e., a 5% chance). Tides of Chaos reduces the Difficulty Class (DC) to 11 (i.e., a 50% chance). - In other words, increases the Wild Magic chance to 50% when you cast a leveled spell (normally 5%).
- Although it is a Reaction, it does not consume a Reaction resource.
