Eagle Statue (western beach)

The Eagle Statue is a unique type of trap encountered just before the Western Beach in Act Three.

Involvement

This statue can be found on the path past numerous other traps and  Steam Clouds and Tripwires. If a character trips one of the many tripwires without disarming them, a trap is triggered:

 Chain Lightning

Damage: 10~80

10d8⁠Lightning

Strike an enemy with lightning. Three more bolts will leap from the target, electrifying as many as three other enemies within range.

 DEX Save

 Range: 18 m (60 ft)

Just like the spell version, the lightning bolts that shoot forth will jump to other nearby characters, potentially downing the entire party. Also, it potentially turns the nearby Steam Clouds into  Electrified Steam, dealing minor additional ⁠Lightning damage.
