Notes

  • This is not considered a hostile spell and can be cast on NPCs without repercussions.
  • This spell prevents NPCs from investigating crimes, in other words, successfully pickpocketing an Enthralled NPC or Enthralling them after they shout that they have been robbed stops them from investigating or initiating a conversation, ending the investigation entirely.
  • If pickpocketing, ensure the target is Enthralled when they notice something is missing. As long as they have 3 remaining turns of Enthrall after succeeding on a pickpocket attempt, safety is likely. It is recommended the pickpocketer not be the caster of the spell.
  • Additionally, since no investigation is done, the pickpocketer is not marked as suspicious, and the NPC in question will not stare at the criminal, making successive pickpocket attempts easier to set up.
  • Stealing items which belong to an NPC that are out in the open, not on their person, is trickier and requires timing; they must be enthralled after they shout that they have been robbed to interrupt the investigation, then ending it prematurely. Casting too late risks the investigation starting and getting caught in a conversation. In this case the culprit can be the one who casts the spell.
