To the two comments above - they wither the moment you take them out of your storage chest - so there is no reason to leave them in there, although I can think of a few battles in Baldur's Gate where they would certainly help.

Also, I just tested this: "Sending these to camp will wilt the flowers, even when camping within the Underdark. Some players have reported success avoiding this by transporting them within containers." and it is more than just traveling out of the Underdark.

- Your entire party must travel out of the Underdark; OR the character that travels out of the Underdark must visit camp while they are no longer in the Underdark.  When I left my 3 companions in the Underdark with the Sussur blooms in storage in camp and took myself to Emerald Grove, when I came back to the Underdark I was then able to safely take the blooms back out of the camp chest.

:So this discussion inspired me to do some research and I found this https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/16v298p/sussur_blooms_how_to_really_prevent_them_from/?share_id=IHIeiNtl86m-IJ8Wby6Lz&utm_content=1&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1 which seems to describe what actually allows sussur flowers to survive outside the underdark, it seems to be an issue where splitting stacks of items is causing them to lose certan effects. I've tested the method described myself and was able to freely carry Sussur blooms in the overworld, as long as they were in my camp chest when moving in or out of the underdark. Carrying them outside of pouches or even literally dropping them on the ground won't cause them to wither. I'll try to add this info to the page in an understandable way --[[User:Bobdodo|Bobdodo]] ([[User talk:Bobdodo|talk]]) 16:20, 12 January 2024 (CET)

Oddly enough - I sold the extra blooms to Derryth Bonecloak in the underdark and she still had the anti-magic field around her and the blooms for sale after arriving in Baldur's Gate. I did not try purchasing them from her - but I'll load a saved game (finished that run-through already) and see what happens.
