Shouldn't this list also include other level 5 spells such as Telekinesis and Destructive Wave?

Is there a reason why shield is not available with this feature? As far as i know d&d 5e doesn't restrict that in any way 94.42.227.209 21:34, 24 March 2025 (CET)
- I wager it was less of a conscious decision to exclude Shield and more because they manually (and haphazardly) added spells to the Magical Secrets list, forgetting many in the process. There are lots of other weird exceptions like
Conjure Elemental but no 
Conjure Minor Elemental or 
Thunderous Smite but no 
Searing Smite. They also did not update the list with the new Patch 8 spells and cantrips (
Shadow Blade,
