Thunderous Smite is a level 1 evocation spell. It allows spellcasters to cause their melee weapon to ring with Thunder as they strike, pushing targets away and potentially knocking them Prone.
Description
Your melee weapon rings with thunder as you strike, pushing your target 3 m / 10 ft away and possibly knocking them Prone.

- The affected creature cannot move or take Actions, Bonus Actions, or Reactions, and has Disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
- Attacks against a Prone creature have Advantage if made within 3 m / 10 ft of the creature.
- A Prone creature must spend half its Movement Speed to stand up.
- A character with the Athlete feat spends only 1.5 m / 5 ft of Movement Speed to stand up.

Notes
- See Smite for additional functionality information.
- Targets are only pushed away if they fail the saving throw against Prone.
- Unlike most attacks that move a target by force, this spell does not display a trajectory line showing where the target will be moved.
Bugs
- The Level 1 Spell Slot version of this action changes attack animations in Honour mode due to an override in the code.
- Due to a coding error, characters receive two Level 2 Spell Slot versions of this action in Honour mode, one of which has the DRS changes while the other does not.
