Vengeful Father is a legendary action available to the Owlbear Mate summoned by  Call Consort in Honour mode. It triggers when the Owlbear Mate falls below  60% hit points or one of his family members dies.^{[See: Bugs]}

Description

Increase Strength by 2 and gain Resistance to all physical damage.

• Gains a +1d4 bonus to  Attack Rolls and  Saving Throws.

Notes

• Owlbear's Rage can be removed with  Calm Emotions.
• Unlike the similar action  A Mother's Desperation, which can only be used on the owlbear mother's turn, Vengeful Father can trigger as soon as the condition is met due to being implemented similarly to a legendary action.

Bugs

• Rather than triggering when one of the Owlbear's family members dies, Vengeful Father is triggered whenever any entity dies, including party members and even inanimate objects like a  Potion of Healing.
