Sound them out as to their willingness to support the possibility of Flame Portyr’s promotion to Marshal, and perhaps even beyond. Encourage those who are lukewarm to be prepared to rank themselves behind Portyr when events elevate her in power and prominence.
However, for those who would oppose her, don’t push them, just make a note of their names and positions and they will be dealt with by other means.
