Needle Blights, like its brethren the [[Shadow-Cursed Vine Blight]] and the [[Shadow-Cursed Shambling Mound]], conceal themselves within the surrounding vegetation in order to ambush passersby. The player must pass a {{Ability Check|Perception|30}} to spot these ambush parties and avoid being surprised.


Needle Blights are small, fragile, and numerous, acting as frontline enemies during their encounters. Their {{SmIconLink|Generic Passive Icon.webp|Needle Burst (Passive Feature)|Needle Burst}} on death can chain together if many blights are caught in the radius, dealing massive damage to enemies and allies alike.
