Summon Companion is a Subclass Feature of Rangers learned immediately upon choosing the Beast Master subclass. This ability allows the Beast Master to call upon their animal companion to fight and aid them in combat.

Level 5+
At level 5 you gain the 
Companion's Bond ability, which causes your summoned companions receive a bonus to Armour Class and damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus. They also receive upgraded Hit Points and new abilities, as described below.
