Rage is a bonus action gained by the Beast Master ranger's Boar CompanionBoar Companion at level 5. It allows the boar to enter a rage once per combat which grants bonus damage, resistance to physical damage, and the ability to make a bonus action attack for its duration.

Description

Go into a frenzy, increasing your size and becoming stronger through raw anger.

While raging, your melee attacks deal an additional 2+1d4SlashingSlashing[See Notes] damage and you are EnlargedEnlarged[See Notes].

You gain Resistance to physical damage, and AdvantageAdvantage on Strength Checks and Saving Throws.

  • The rage condition actually incorporates the effects of EnlargedEnlarged as well which gives an unlisted +1d4 bonus to damage, +1 to size category (increases the boar to Large), and a 1.33 size multiplier.
