Rage is a bonus action gained by the Beast Master ranger's Boar Companion Boar Companion at level 5. It allows the boar to enter a rage once per combat which grants bonus damage, resistance to physical damage, and the ability to make a bonus action attack for its duration.

Description

Go into a frenzy, increasing your size and becoming stronger through raw anger.

While raging, your melee attacks deal an additional 2+1d4Damage TypesSlashing[See Notes] damage and you are Enlarged Enlarged[See Notes]. You gain Resistance to physical damage, and Advantage Icon.png Advantage on Strength Checks and Saving Throws.

Available only in combat.
Rage ends early if you don't attack an enemy or take damage each turn.
You can't cast or concentrate on spells while raging.

  • The rage condition actually incorporates the effects of Enlarged Enlarged as well which gives an unlisted +1d4 bonus to damage, +1 to size category (increases the boar to Large), and a 1.33 size multiplier.
