An Owlbear Egg is found in the Owlbear Nest in Act 1. It can be sold for gold and provides a condition to whoever carries it, potentially affecting the battle with the Owlbear. Additionally, it can play a part in a later quest.
Owlbear hatchlings are tiny and adorable for the first few weeks of their life. Then they eat you out of house and home. Then they simply eat you.
