The Whispering Promise image

The Whispering Promise is an uncommon ring that grants a bonus to Attack Rolls and Saving Throws to creatures healed by the wearer.

Description Icon.png

A soft, soothing voice floats from this ring, reciting a prayer over and over.

Properties

  • Rings Rings
  • Rarity: Uncommon
  •  Weight: .05 kg / 0.1 lb
  • Price: 40 gp

Special

The wearer of this item gains:

  • Blessed Mercy: When the wearer heals a creature, it also receives a D4 Physical.png 1d4 bonus to Attack rolls and Saving throws.
    • Equivalent in effect to casting the Bless spell, but only lasts for 2 turns.
    • This does not stack with Bless.

Where to find

  • Sold by Volo in the Druid Grove. He'll leave the area after your first visit. The player needs to complete Rescue Volo to be able to trade with him again.

Sold by Grat the Trader in the Goblin Camp.

Notes

  • The ring's description is misleading. The effect of Bless is applied to the creature(s) receiving the healing, not the wearer. Therefore, it's possible to have multi-turn Bless going without concentration with something like Mass Healing Word.
  • Drinking a Potion of Healing counts as healing oneself and triggers the effect of this ring as well.
