Candles are common miscellaneous items.
Candles can be used as simple light sources and a mundane means of igniting flammable surfaces, if properly set. They can also increase damage of stationary ranged characters via Dip, which supplies an infinite source of additional fire damage for three rounds.

Effect
- When placed on a surface
- Provides light in a 1.8 m / 6 ft radius and has the Burning condition.
- As a bonus action, weapons can be Dipped to gain 1d4fire damage for 3 rounds.
Where to find
Throughout the game as set-dressing and random loot.
Notes
- Unlike other light sources such as torches, candles cannot be equipped in the light source slot.
- Candles do not deal direct damage like torches, but can enhance damage through the Dip action for ranged characters.
