The Mapping of the Heart is a ritual carried out by the Inquisitor of Shar at the House of Grief. The mapping is performed on whoever sits on the stone bench at X: -272 Y: 9. Only one character per run can undergo the Mapping of the Heart. 
Shadowheart will have a unique interaction with the Inquisitor on the bench and will not complete a typical mapping.
The answers to the mapping affect the battle with the 
Viconia DeVir by giving her two specialized spells 
Castigate Heartform and Mapped Terror. The Mapping can be skipped entirely by passing a 
DC 20 Investigation check to find a button on the wall that opens the hidden passage to the Cloister of Sombre Embrace.
Questions edit
The questions are always asked in the same order. The answers provided to each question award a hidden value towards generating the Heartform, similar to how dialogue choices can improve or reduce Approval with companions.
- "What last caused you to shed a tear?"

- A DC 18 Perception check is made before the next question. If successful, the character has the opportunity to cut the mapping short at this point and delivering the Heartform based only on the first answer.

Outcomes edit
The outcomes of the mapping affect the battle against Viconia in two ways. She applies a curse using Castigate Heartform, the effect of which is altered by the heartform she decides for the party. Secondly, your answer to "your greatest fear" changes the effect of her Mapped Terror ability.
Craven Heart - "You flee when you should fight, seek to soften every hard choice. You are untempered."- False Heart - "Deceiving as easily others breathe. You hide the truth even from yourself. But your true self is nothing to fear."
- Jealous Heart - "Your wants are endless. All others are undeserving of any boon next to you. Envy is a fire that will consume you, but we can help douse it."
- Melancholy Heart - "You possess a melancholy heart. A smile is a stranger upon your lips. You do not know what you are missing, but you miss it nonetheless."
- Prying Heart - "You crave insights and secrets that are not your own. You live through others, and neglect the self. We can help you rediscover you."
- Violent Heart - "Rage grips you. Blood inflames you."
- Wayward Heart - Unique to Shadowheart if she sits on the bench.
