- Although offered by Omeluum, he does not do so for free. The player character must persuade or intimidate him, or pay for it; either with gold or by trading a story or information about the Nautiloid. It is also possible to pickpocket the ring, once it becomes available.
- This ring was originally called the Ring of Psionic Protection in Early Access. It blocked the use of Mind-Flayer abilities for the wearer.
- This ring grants advantage on the saving throws against the Harpy's Luring Song.
