Intimidation is a Charisma-based Skill.

The higher a creature's Charisma Score, the more likely they will succeed on Intimidation Checks to scare people into submission.

Proficiency

Characters who are proficient in Intimidation can add their Proficiency Bonus when making  Ability Checks.

The following backgrounds grant proficiency in Intimidation:

•  Haunted One
•  Soldier

The following classes can choose to select Intimidation as a proficient skill at Level 1:

•  Barbarian
•  Bard
•  Fighter
•  Paladin
•  Rogue
•  Sorcerer
•  Warlock

The following races are proficient in Intimidation:

•  Half-Orc

Characters who take the Illithid power Illithid Expertise gain expertise (and proficiency) in Persuasion, Deception, or Intimidation checks.
