Synaptic Consumption is an action and Illithid Power available to Full-Illithids. This action allows a full-illithid to heal over time by sapping a target's ability scores. Initially, the ability score reduction is -5 and the healing amount is 2d10, but this effect grows more potent over 5 turns. On each subsequent turn, the target's ability scores are reduced by a further -1 and the healing amount increases by 2d10. On the fifth turn, the target is knocked prone.
