Oathbreaking testing[edit source]
I am about to try Oathbreaks mentioned in the wiki page, feel free to add your findings:
- "Evading being arrested once caught or refusing to be interrogated." - What does that even mean? At least in the Goblin Camp and in Grymforge, I could get away with attacking someone, getting the Crime Response, picking the Attack option, and then killing them. Even on Guard Gurgon, for which Oath of Devotion breaks if you attack and kill him as part of a Crime Response. Though Oath of Devotion acts differently on at least the Goblins, so I could imagine Oath of the Crown acting more lenient on the Goblins as well.
- "Helping Sazza escape during Save the Goblin Sazza" - no, doesn't break the Oath. Tried breaking the cage AND lockpicking it. Oath of Vengeance breaks by opening or breaking the Cage door, Crown doesn't. Also no Oathbreak by escorting Sazza or finishing the Quest.
- "Betraying Minthara after promising to help her during Raid the Emerald Grove" - Again, what does that wording mean? I took Sazza to Minthara, then told Minthara I'd help her with attacking the Grove. On that point, Oath of Vengeance would break, Crown doesn't. Then, at the Gate, I told Minthara I would defend the Grove - again, no Oathbreak.
- To be continued...

I just got to Act 3 with my Crown Paladin, apparently just agreeing to side with Gortash is enough to break the oath. I even chose the unique Paladin (not Oath) option and ended up breaking it.

"Hiding Alfira Alfira's body after the Dark Urge killed her" I did just tried as the dark urge and even if you don't hide, you break oath.
[sorry, don't know how to give feedback and don't have time to join your discord right now because I'm in the middle of a run with my wife...] We are playing multiplayer. Shadowheart is in my subgroup (my NPC). My wife's oath was broken because I allowed Shadowheart to free Dame Ailyn. So playing as Shadowheart Origin is not required for this to break your oath.
Wrong Prepared Lvl 9 spell[edit source]
Im not sure if this is a bug or indended but, this wiki says that Oath of The Crown recieves Spirit Gaurdians and Crucader's Mantel. This was not the case for me, i received Warden of Vitality as my always prepared spell and had to manually choose Cru@sader's Mantel. So' i just want to let everyone know that I think the current subclass spell listings might be off here. 74.253.119.56 06:31, 20 May 2025 (CEST)
2 Wrong Oathbreaks for Crown[edit source]
Tried both of the following, with my oath of crown paladin as primary and neither broke the oath:
-Allowed Sazza to be killed
-Deceived Blue Jay about Coin and then took it 50.5.215.117 23:18, 26 June 2025 (CEST)
