Armour of Uninhibited Kushigo

The Armour of Uninhibited Kushigo is an uncommon piece of Clothing that allows the wearer to counter attack an enemy that misses them, so long as Patient Defence is active.

Long ago,  Kushigo was a warrior. Bedecked in an enormous set of plate steel, its shoulder pauldrons fashioned like great antlered stags, his arrival on a battlefield spelled doom for the enemy.

Yet this armour - so light and fine - speaks nothing to that legacy.

Special

The wearer of this item gains:

Kushigo Counter

While  Patient Defence is active: the wearer can use their reaction to make an unarmed strike against any attacker that misses.

Where to find

• Grymforge X: -628 Y: 320: Rewarded by  Sergeant Thrinn after returning her boots in the quest Find the Missing Boots

Notes

• This is one of two possible rewards for Find the Missing Boots, the other being  Bracing Band.

Notes included from Kushigo Counter:

• The attack performed by this reaction is a normal  Unarmed Strike. If this reaction is triggered on the monk's turn (i.e. by counterattacking an Opportunity Attack), it will trigger  Extra Attack.

Bugs

Bugs included from Kushigo Counter:

• Unlike  Riposte or  Wrath of the Storm, this does not trigger on any missed attack but rather only on missed melee attacks. This also does not check the range of the missed melee attack, and will trigger on attacks that have ranges well beyond normal Unarmed Strike range.
