Crown of Karsus (Entity)

The Crown of Karsus is an invulnerable entity found Atop the Netherbrain in Act Three. Targeting it with Karsus' Compulsion is the penultimate goal of the final battle to defeat The Netherbrain.

Interactions

The goal of the final battle's first phase is ultimately to bring the player's designated mind flayer to the Crown and attune to it using Karsus' Compulsion. The elder brain will speak through the crown each round, taunting and mocking the player. Once the player successfully casts the spell, a rift opens into the Netherbrain's psyche, where it can finally be broken.

Honour Mode

On Honour Mode the artifact itself gains a free spell once per round, akin to a legendary action:
