Favourable Beginnings is a passive feature and Illithid Power. This feature applies a character's Proficiency Bonus to the first Attack Roll or Ability Check made against a target.

The first  Attack Roll or  Ability Check you make against any target gains a bonus equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Notes

• When multiple characters with Favourable Beginnings attack the same target, only the first character benefits from this passive.

Bugs

• Contrary to the description, only Deception and Persuasion receive ability check bonuses.
• Due to a hidden technical condition that is applied to the target, this passive triggers effects such as  Coldbrim Chill from  Coldbrim Hat.
