A list of a number of strategies that trivialize encounters (or make them much easier)

Temple of Bhaal/Orin[edit | edit source]

Cast invisibility before entering the ambush area, fly up to the area with Ghislev, then toss him into the chasm.

If you're not playing as Durge and you're okay missing out on some loot (but not her knife) you can use this on Orin as well.

The final fight[edit | edit source]

Items/spells required: Globe of Invulnerability x1, Guidance x1, Greater Invisibility x2, Smokepowder Bombs (a lot).

Characters required: Cleric x1

Cast greater invisibility on the Emperor/Orpheus before climbing the brainstem. Have 2 of your characters use dimension door on themself and one other character to get as far up the side of the brain as possible. Have 1 of your characters cast guidance on the character who will be casting globe of invulnerability, then have them cast it. Move other characters far enough away from the crown and the globe that AoE effects won't affect the channeler or the caster. Have the emperor/orpheus dash and then fly up to the globe. Do not have them start to channel yet; it's very likely they'll fail the stealth check.

If you want, you can have them cast/drink a potion of invisibility after casting dimension door but while they still have movement left. Enemies with detect invisibility will look in the area they last saw the invisible character, so move far enough away from it.

On your next turn, cast guidance on the channeler and have them start to channel. Once you've reached the brain, drop all your smokepowder bombs and throw them at the brain.
