How to learn

Granted by the following items:

  • There are two rolls involved with this spell: An Attack roll to determine if the weapon damage applies to the main target and a Dexterity saving throw to determine if the explosion damage is halved.
  • The hit chance shown in the preview when targeting the spell is for the saving throw rather than the attack roll.
  • Despite involving an attack roll and weapon damage, Hail of Thorns does not count as a weapon attack and will not activate abilities like Colossus Slayer Colossus Slayer or Sneak Attack (Ranged) Sneak Attack (Ranged).
