Life Essence Harvest is a passive feature that causes creatures killed by spells to give the wielder Spell Slots. They can only be used for Necromancy Spells.

Description

When the wielder kills a hostile creature with a spell, they greedily absorb its energy and gain Life Essence Life Essence until their next Long Rest.

Condition: Life Essence

Notes

  • Per the GreaterNecromancySpellFilter() .khn script, this effect is intended to allow the casting of an extra Necromancy spell only if the spell level is equal to or lower than the number of Life Essence turns the wielder has. However, this restriction is currently non-functional, and any level of Necromancy spell can be cast using the effect. Though none of the tooltips explicitly mention this functionality, Life Essence displays the number of turns the wielder has on its tooltip.

Bugs

  • The effect of this passive is consumed if active when the character casts a cantrip from the Necromancy school, despite the cantrip not being highlighted in the character's cast bar.
