Properties
- Cost:
- Action
- Details:
- Range: Self
- Recharge: Short rest
- Duration: 10 turns
Condition: Overloaded With Synaptic Power
How to learn
Used by creatures: Illithid, Partial-Illithid, and Full-Illithid
Other ways to learn:
- Unlock from the illithid power skill tree with a Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen
- Obtained automatically after becoming a Partial-Illithid
- Obtained automatically after becoming a Full-Illithid
Notes
- The extra damage inflicted also adds to spell attacks, such as Fire Bolt and each individual beam of Eldritch Blast.
- WARNING, the self-damage each round does still induce Concentration checks if you are using a Concentration spell. If you want to use a particularly important one like Haste alongside Psionic Overload, it would be better to have an ally cast it on you.
