Breaking a Smokepowder Barrel without igniting it creates a Smokepowder surface. Stepping inside a Smokepowder surface has no effect.

Igniting a Smokepowder Barrel with Fire damage creates and detonates a Smokepowder surface, dealing a large amount of Force damage. When ignited, a Smokepowder surface has the following effects for all creatures standing on it:

  • D6 Fire.png 2d6 (2~12) Damage TypesFire
    damage (DC 12  Dexterity saving throw to halve)
  • D6 Force.png 2d6 (2~12) Damage TypesForce
    damage
  • Creatures caught in the blast are knocked back
  • The Smokepowder surface becomes a Fire Fire surface (which immediately inflicts the Burning Burning condition)
