Notes

  • The saving throws against the explosion and smokepowder surface ignition share the same DC, but are independent rolls.
  • The barrel explodes if thrown or placed onto a fire surface.
  • Creatures on the outer edge of the blast radius may take no damage from the smokepowder igniting, but are knocked back and take explosion damage.
  • The barrel explodes if thrown near the edge of a fire surface (even if it lands outside it).
  • The barrel does not explode if it is thrown well outside a fire surface, but the smokepowder ignites if its area overlaps the fire surface.
  • If the barrel impacts sufficiently close to the thrower, it does not explode even if it lands directly on a fire surface, but the smokepowder still ignites.
