Timber patrols the area of the Druid Grove below the bugbear assassin, near the elevator. When interacted with by a character without speak with animals, he will immediately bite them for no damage for being on his territory. Passing two DC10 animal handling checks results in a compromise being reached and the character being rewarded with a [[hyena ear]]. It is not currently known what the result of the other options are.
The party can choose to either kick the squirrel or study the squirrel's behaviour.

If a character has The Dark Urge background the character may attack and kill Timber upon initiating conversation.
If the party member kicks the squirrel, the squirrel will smack against the tree and die. If the party member fails to kick the squirrel, they can try one more time.

Timber is a Squirrel in Baldur's Gate 3.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Timber patrols the area of the Emerald Grove below the bugbear assassin, at the top of the elevator above the sacred pool. If a character without Speak with Animals Speak with Animals active interacts with her, she will immediately bite them (no damage) for trespassing on her territory.

The party can choose to either kick the squirrel or study the squirrel's behaviour.

  • [DEXTERITY] Kick the squirrel. (DC 10) Astarion approves +1 Wyll disapproves -1 Karlach disapproves -1
  • [DEXTERITY] Kick her. (DC 10) (if using Speak with Animals) Astarion approves +1 Wyll disapproves -1 Karlach disapproves -1

If the The Dark Urge is chosen as Origin, interacting with Timber without Speak with Animals will automatically result in her death. If Speak with Animals is active, choosing the "Last words I won't remember" Dialogue option will kill the squirrel without a check. Either way, killing Timber earns the Inspiration Icon.pngInspirational Event Indulge Thine Appetites (Haunted One background).
