Counterspell is a 3rd Level Abjuration Spell. This spell allows spellcasters to interrupt another caster's spellcasting, causing it to fail and have no effect.
Description
Interrupt a creature in the process of casting a spell, making it fail so it has no effect.
The higher the level of the spell being cast, the harder it is to interrupt. You can always interrupt spells of 3rd Level or lower.
Properties
Available to level 5 Sorcerer, Warlock, and Wizard.
At Higher Levels
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the interrupted spell is guaranteed to have no effect if its level is less than or equal to the level of the spell slot you used.
