Weapon actions
If you have proficiency, equip in main hand to gain:
- Pommel Strike ()
Make a non-lethal attack against an enemy and possibly them.
- Lacerate ()
Slash at your target's vital points to make it .
- Cleave ()
Swing your weapon in a large arc to attack up to 3 enemies at once. They each take half the damage your weapon usually deals.
Where to find
- Nautiloid X: -53 Y: -391: Looted from Commander Zhalk at the helm of the Nautiloid during the Prologue. Can also be obtained by casting on Commander Zhalk instead of killing him, though his chance of succeeding the Saving throw is high.
Notes
- This is one of very few non-Dippable weapons in the game, as its special property functions largely the same as being dipped in Fire.
- Both damage dice rolls for this weapon inconsistently gain re-rolls (akin to Savage Attacker) in the combat log; exactly what causes these re-rolls is unknown.
- This weapon is the earliest "magical" weapon which can be obtained, which means its physical damage component ignores the non-magical slashing resistance that, for example, the Cambions have in the Prologue.
- Although the blade seems to cast light in a small area around the wielder, this does not protect against the Shadow curse.
Bugs
- Sometimes the visual burning effect will stop functioning. Dropping the weapon, then picking it up, and re-equipping fixes the issue.
- The burning effect is not visible in cutscenes.
