Scratch's Ball is a common Miscellaneous item used to play fetch with Scratch. Having it in the inventory allows to summon Scratch as a familiar outside of camp. It is a specially-named variation of the common Ball.

The exterior of this toy ball is rough with tooth marks.

  •  Range: 18 m / 60 ft
  • If throwing the ball while Scratch is in the vicinity he picks it up and returns it.
  • If he is not in the vicinity  Find Familiar: Scratch is automatically used, if available.

Notes

• Scratch must be convinced to give the ball to the player character. There are several options to do this:
  • Passing a  Strength,  Sleight of Hand, or  Animal Handling check to retrieve the ball
  • Using  Speak with Animals and simply asking him to hand it over
• If losing Scratch's Ball, it is possible to go see him at the camp and he might give it back.
• The ball makes a distinctive 'squeaky toy' sound when picked up or interacted with.
• The ball must be directly in the character's inventory. If it is inside a container in the inventory, the action appears in the hotbar but is unusable.
