Adamantine Shield

Adamantine Shield is a rare Shield that sends enemies Reeling when they miss you with a melee attack.

The dull shine of the adamantine promises this shield could take a thousand beatings -- and still look as good as new.

The wearer of this item gains:

 Shield Blow (): When a foe hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to knock it Prone, unless they succeed a Strength saving throw.

Adamantine Shield: When a melee attack misses you, the attacker is sent  Reeling for 2 turns.

The  Reeling condition from Adamantine Shield is renewed on each miss against the wearer, and is removed on successful hit.
The effectiveness of the Adamantine Shield increases (in a non-linear fashion) the more AC the wearer has, because it triggers on miss, and is cancelled on a successful hit against the wearer.
The Reeling condition imposed by this passive is cancelled by, and does not stack with, the  Adamantine Backlash passive from the  Adamantine Scale Mail or the  Intense Adamantine Backlash passive from the  Adamantine Splint Armour. Specifically, if an opponent is sent Reeling on hit with Adamantine Backlash from Adamantine Scale Mail or the Intense Adamantine Backlash from Adamantine Splint Armour, the Reeling from Adamantine Shield is not applied on the same opponent if they miss, and the Reeling status from Adamantine Backlash or Intense Adamantine Backlash is removed. Likewise, if an opponent is sent Reeling after a miss from Adamantine Shield, the condition is removed upon a successful hit if one is wearing the Adamantine Scale Mail or the Adamantine Splint Armour, and the reeling from Adamantine Backlash or Intense Adamantine Backlash is not applied. Thus, characters with lower AC benefit more from wearing the Adamantine Scale Mail the Adamantine Splint Armour but not an Adamantine Shield; for characters with high AC, the reverse is true.
